Our Mission
Our goal is to help Carondelet residents navigate Missouri's medical cannabis process with clear information and convenient access to eligible medical professionals.
Carondelet has a history that predates the City of St. Louis as it exists today. The community was founded in 1767, renamed in 1794, incorporated as a city in 1851, and annexed by St. Louis in 1870. At the time of the Louisiana Purchase in 1803, the settlement reportedly consisted of about 50 homes and 250 residents.
Its long history, Mississippi River location, historic architecture, and neighborhood institutions give Carondelet a character quite different from many other parts of St. Louis.
Our goal is for the medical cannabis information on this page to feel equally specific to Carondelet rather than functioning as a generic Missouri page with a neighborhood name inserted.
Who We Are
Our resources are designed for both new and returning Missouri patients. Someone seeking a first medical marijuana card may have questions about eligibility, telemedicine, certification, or state registration. Returning patients may instead need information about recertification, renewal, cultivation, or caregiver requirements.
Carondelet itself has been shaped by multiple generations and cultures. City historical information notes French, German, Irish, African, Spanish, British, Italian, and Polish influences throughout its development.
That long community history makes it especially important for neighborhood-focused information to provide more than a simple change of location name.
Our Commitment
A Straightforward Path Through Certification: We aim to clearly explain what happens during the medical evaluation and what the patient needs to do afterward.
Careful Treatment of Medical Information: Patient privacy and confidentiality remain important throughout the certification process.
Guidance Centered on Missouri Rules: The information provided to patients focuses specifically on Missouri's medical cannabis program.
Assistance Based on Individual Circumstances: Different patients have different needs. A first-time applicant, caregiver, renewing patient, cultivation applicant, and parent helping a minor may require different guidance.
Joining Hands with the Community
Carondelet includes several public green spaces, including Alaska Park, Bellerive Park, Carondelet Park, and Sister Marie Charles Park.
Carondelet Park is especially significant to South St. Louis. The City identifies it as the city's third-largest park, covering approximately 179.71 acres. The park includes walking and biking trails, lakes, athletic fields, tennis and pickleball courts, playgrounds, and its recognizable boathouse. Responsible medical cannabis participation also requires patients to understand what they may and may not do outside their homes.
Missouri states that public cannabis consumption is generally not allowed and that Article XIV does not permit driving or operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of marijuana.
Our Vision
Our goal is to create a dependable path for Carondelet residents who are considering Missouri's medical cannabis program.
Patients should be able to understand the process from the initial consultation through certification, registration, purchasing, and eventual renewal.
By combining accurate Missouri program information with genuine Carondelet context, we aim to make the process easier to navigate while encouraging responsible medical cannabis use.
